ENP Coffee
ENP Coffee is all natural, shade-grown, and supports the development of sustainable coffee farming in local communities, with 100% of the profits going towards the rescue of elephants and animal care.
In order to meet the demand to provide food for humans and animal agriculture, slash and burn farming motivated by short-term profits is common in Southeast Asia and takes a severe toll on the environment.
Coffee plants, however, can be grown under the shade of the forest canopy, thereby making it a viable crop that promotes natural ecological relationships and protects forest habitats from destruction. Our coffee farms are located amongst the mountainous hill tribe villages of Northern Thailand and only use natural compost fertiliser.
Set high in the hills of northern Thailand are many different hill tribe villages. These villages are the home to the various indigenous people groups of Thailand. These villagers are used to working in harmony with the land. Because of large corporations taking over the agriculture industry, many of these communities have been forced into farming with harmful chemicals to themselves and their native land. Again, due to increased industrialization these communities are struggling economically – especially women in finding work.
ENP Coffee provides an eco-friendly livelihood for hill tribe communities in the region, with an emphasis on supporting women through economic empowerment. The proceeds from ENP Coffee benefit local villages through the construction of schools and much needed facilities. In every respect – from the ecologically sound farming practices that support hill tribe people, to the care provided to animals, right down to the hand-selected ripe cherries – every cup of our coffee is imbued with quality and goodness.
ENP Coffee provides an alternative to these harmful conditions. All of the coffee is successfully grown without the use of unnatural chemicals. It also plays a huge role in the health of a self-sustaining economy while providing empowerment for women to work in their communities. Elephant Nature Park staff also take the time to provide education and the tools needed to create a long term plan for the villages.
Our Thai coffee is all grown at an elevation over 1,000 meters high in the hills of Northern Thailand. Currently our farmers are growing Caturra and Catimor varietals that are water processed and sun dried. The coffee is processed by the Thai villagers and is roasted and distributed in Texas!
Our coffee supports the Hill Tribe Farmers in Thailand, neighbors of Elephant Nature Park (ENP). Our collaboration provides the Tribe people an opportunity to create a livelihood that restores them to their traditional cultural values while working in fair, healthy,and just conditions. We are proud of our partnership with the Tribe people to supply their sustainable, high altitude Thai coffee beans.
100 % of the profit of ENP coffee will be sent to Save Elephant Foundation for helping the foundation activities such as a mobile animal clinic.
The veterinarian team will drive to help other animals. The activities of veterinarians are to treat, vaccine, and sterilization. all of these activities are free. Community Clinic was built for helping the painful animals of the villager and people who have less money.
We promote juvenile education to prevent and give the knowledge to society for protecting animals from abuse. Now the foundation has been helping many animals around 3000 lives under our care.
